I’m fascinated by the intersection between science and art, since I dip my toes in both worlds. To that end, I’ve added sentiment analysis [the 6 emotional arcs | story shapes | academic paper] and topic modeling to my literary analyses of contemporary fiction. The resulting Contour Map combines 7 axes of information and is a key feature of each presentation I’ve prepared for my Literary Forensics study group, Writers Who Read.
I’ve compiled my findings into a presentation that I gave at Analyze Boulder in March, 2019.
